Mr T contacted us after an unfortunate experience with another Porsche Centre. He had an issue with the engine on his GT3 and wasn’t happy with the service he had received, and felt that his concerns hadn’t been listened to and his car was returned to him with no apparent fault.

As soon as he contacted our Centre, he was looked after and his concerns were taken into consideration by the Service Team. Mark, who was working on his car, kept sending updates on what was being done and what was the cause of the problem. The engine had to be replaced but Mr T got his car back within a week and he was so pleased that Mark and the team took interest in the fact that he usually takes his car on track days so it made it easier to identify the fault a lot quicker.

Later the team found that Mr T is actually a popular Youtuber who has since then shared a video about his experience and the process that his car went through at the Centre and so far this has been viewed and shared by over 7,500 people who will hear about Mark’s good work.

Mark joined our team as an apprentice 3 years ago and has shown an amazing passion for Porsche as well as for completing complex work on customer cars and is now one of our more talented Porsche Trained Technicians.

Mr & Mrs A travelled up from London to collect their new car from Scott and left a fantastic review about their experience.

Mr A felt the handover for his new car was very well managed – from being flown to Edinburgh, staying just off the Royal Mile, the meal in Ondine the night before and then the effortless and friendly way in which the handover was conducted on the day. Several members of the Porsche Edinburgh Team introduced themselves to him on the day – all professionally done.

Mr & Mrs A felt that Scott had an excellent approach with customers: friendly, factual, enthusiastic. He welcomed them both on the day, he looked after them well, he spent time explaining the car, the controls, how to use it, he showed his enthusiasm for Porsche and the new 911 in particular.

Derek recently helped a Mr M out, who collected a puncture on his Porsche Boxster during his holiday in Scotland. Mr M contacted Porsche Edinburgh on route to the Centre to set in motion the necessary actions to fix the problem immediately.

Mr M sent a letter of thanks for Derek Smart’s impeccable service, highlighting the absolutely outstanding service of the team as a whole, and specifically mentioning Derek for handling the Service activities “impeccably” and was aware that Derek is new in his role and felt that special commendation was appropriate.

Scott has been with the Edinburgh Team for over 12 years and keeps delivering exceptional Customer Service on every interaction, taking pride on representing the team. We have received recent feedback from a very pleased Sales customer who just purchased his first Porsche from Scott and will possibly remain loyal to the Brand after being given an amazing experience.

I just wanted to drop you a brief email to thank you and your team for handling the sale/purchase of my first Porsche. I dealt with Grahame and David who were polite, diligent and engaging but Scott, in particular, was excellent and a pleasure to deal with.

He was extremely patient with my demands and the fact that running two businesses makes it difficult to get hold of me at times. We travelled up from Andover and were welcomed at your premises with a coffee and to find an extremely well-presented vehicle with a couple of added surprises for my wife on her Birthday. All of the paperwork and handover were completed efficiently so we drove into the city for our stay at the Radisson.The hotel was excellent and again surprises for the wife with strawberries and prosecco on arrival. After a walk around the city and a few cashmere purchases, we had a lovely dinner at one of Scott’s recommended restaurants which was really good.

We left the next morning for a 500-mile drive getting to know the car and all of its capability. I am really enjoying the car and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience as did the wife. Your team represented you and the brand very well and I look forward to returning in a couple of years for next Porsche. Very many thanks.

Our nomination is for our new Sales Executive, Alex Lane, in Porsche, who recently had a client of the dealership requiring his new car that was late in arriving.

When the car came in at the end of the week, Alex pulled out all the stops to ensure it was quickly turned around and ready to go out to the customer. To make sure the customer received his car at the earliest possible opportunity, Alex also went down on a Saturday evening to deliver the car to Newcastle.

The client was highly delighted with the service Alex provided, knowing that he was new to the dealership, and felt that he had gone that ‘Extra Mile’ to ensure his experience exceeded his expectations.
